Education And Culture |
Not surprisingly, after secondary school I attended art school. At the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where I majored in Interior Design, I created my first "serious" pieces of jewelry. At first, my designs were just for me, to accentuate my wardrobe, but before long I was decorating my friends.
To augment my studies, I spent a semester abroad. What a wonderful opportunity that would be, and what a wonderful, life-altering, learning experience the next few months would be as I wandered through the capitals of Europe. The awe-inspiring architecture and works of art, the majesty of the landscapes, and the constantly changing view of the world provided by the people and customs of different cultures all helped to mold my artistic thinking and to provide me with creative energy. It was a brilliant and dazzling year.
